The City of Prattville will kick off its America 250 celebration with a free Concert and Drone Show on Friday, July 3, beginning at 6 p.m. at Stanley Jensen Stadium. The family-friendly event invites residents and visitors to celebrate the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday with an evening of music, food, and entertainment.

The evening will begin with a performance of the national anthem by Delano Williams, followed by live music from Blackberry Breeze followed by a grand finale drone show at 9 p.m. Food trucks will also be on site serving freshly prepared food, cool treats, and specialty items. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs on the field or enjoy the festivities from the stadium stands.

“We love celebrating with our annual traditions like the parade, fireworks show, and Lions Club barbecue, but we’re especially excited to add something extra special this year in honor of America250,” said Mynecia Steele, cultural arts and special events manager for the City of Prattville. “For the first time ever in Prattville, 150 drones will light up the night sky in a spectacular patriotic display for the grand finale. We are asking everyone to wear their red, white, and blue and join us at Stanley Jensen Stadium beginning at 6:00 p.m.”

For the safety of guests and performers, personal drones will not be allowed in or around the event area. City officials said unauthorized drones can interfere with the show and may cause the performance to be delayed or canceled.

Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.
