Millbrook First United Methodist Church is pleased to announce and welcome Reverend Steve Reneau as the church’s new Senior Pastor. Rev. Reneau will begin his ministry at Millbrook First on July 12, 2026, and will lead the spiritual life and ministries of the church as it continues to serve the Millbrook community and surrounding area.

“I believe God has great things in store for Millbrook First Methodist Church,” said Reverend Reneau. “I am honored to be called to serve alongside this congregation as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ, share God’s love with our neighbors, and be a faithful witness in the Millbrook community. I look forward to beginning this new chapter together.”

A native of Wetumpka, Alabama, Rev. Reneau is a lifelong United Methodist and has served as a pastor for the past 15 years. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and Emory University and is currently completing his doctoral thesis through Duke University.

Rev. Reneau is married to Dr. Olivia Poole, who will serve as Superintendent of the West Central District of the Alabama-West Florida Conference. Together they have two children, Grantham and Ennis-Hartley. Rev, Reneau and Dr. Poole also share their home with two dogs, Scout and Susanna Wesley.

Outside of ministry, Rev. Reneau enjoys grilling, hiking, camping, and spending time at the beach with his family. He is excited to continue his ministry at Millbrook First and looks forward to joining the congregation in worship on July 12.

“We are delighted to welcome Rev. Reneau and his family to Millbrook First,” said church leadership. “His passion for ministry and commitment to discipleship will be a tremendous blessing to our congregation and community.”

The public is invited to join Millbrook First Methodist Church in welcoming Rev. Reneau on his first Sunday, July 12, 2026. Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m. with a traditional service featuring liturgy, hymns, and choir music.
