Residents lined the streets of downtown Prattville on Saturday morning as the city celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a series of Fourth of July traditions that brought the community together.

The celebration began with the City of Prattville’s annual Fourth of July Parade, where decorated floats, marching groups, local organizations, first responders and elected officials made their way through downtown. Families and visitors gathered along the parade route, waving American flags and celebrating the nations semi quincentennial.

After the parade, the celebration continued at Pratt Park, where the Prattville Lions Club hosted its annual barbecue sale. Volunteers served barbecue plates as part of one of the club’s largest yearly fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting local service projects and community programs.

Residents also stopped by the Prattville Farmers Market at The Grove, where local vendors offered fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items and artisan products, giving shoppers another opportunity to support small businesses while enjoying the holiday.

As Prattville joined communities across the country in celebrating America’s 250th birthday, the day’s events reflected the city’s tradition of bringing neighbors together through patriotism, service and local pride.
